Sublimation printing is a technology that works similarly to an old-school heat transfer and is used for printing directly into synthetic fabrics like polyester, nylon, spandex. Your image/design is printed on a large format ink jet printer with waterbase inks onto a special paper. The paper is then placed onto the white synthetic fabric and pressed at a high temperature, causing the ink to sublimate into the fibers. The finish is totally smooth as you can't feel the ink.
Some common uses are athletic apparel (cycling and soccer jerseys), all-over prints with full-color graphics (like the one we did on the left), and items that would otherwise be difficult to screen print.
